Come out to talk to others who are interested in alternative forms of transportation, and in other ways of proactively responding to global warming and oil & gas depletion issues that Post-Carbon London focuses on.

Everyone is welcome to come, and that definitely includes those of you who aren't bicycle enthusiasts.

Post-Carbon London also supports:
- Buses, trains, and other more collective forms of transportation
- Food & agriculture that is more local, more organic, and less industrial
- Alternatives to suburbs and sprawl -- through land planning and architecture that are oriented more toward walkability, bicycling, and bus usage
- Energy sources that are more renewable

Those are some examples of ways of encouraging and supporting proactive responses to global warming and oil & gas depletion issues that Post-Carbon London addresses. (If you've heard about the latter oil & gas depletion problems, it was probably with a narrow focus on world "peak oil.")

Post-Carbon London focuses on energy and carbon problems -- with an emphasis on issues surrounding fossil fuel consumption. While addressing those issues, the Post-Carbon London organizers stress ways to reduce energy demands (through alternative urban planning, for example), as well as more renewable alternatives to fossil fuel energy sources (with the exception of nuclear power energy, which we do not support). Post-Carbon London also accepts efforts to increase energy efficiency, as well as carbon capture projects, but without emphasizing these approaches.

While focusing on proactive responses to global warming and oil & gas depletion problems, Post-Carbon London also indirectly supports:
- Co-operative responses to various environmental problems
- Other approaches to reducing consumption demands
- More local community participation, relationships, and culture (e.g. local music) (without oppressive parochialism)

This flyer focuses on oil & gas depletion issues -- because these matters are not well-understood. There is more awareness about global warming--a very important issue, but one that generally is not nearly as new to people.
