COMMUNITY ORGANIZER'S BOOT CAMP: BUILDING A DURABLE FOOD SYSTEM
October 7 - Instructor: Lyn Martin and Harry MacCormack

Lyn Martin has extensive experience in group facilitation, participative learning and facilitator training. As a member of the Oregon Regional Training Institute she shared in the development of study circle materials. Currently she is helping to initiate the Durable Food Systems group for Ten Rivers Food Web. Harry works with her on that project and has been organizing since the early 1960s. His work has resulted in Oregon Tilth, several farmer's markets, and Ten Rivers Food Web.

This class is a chance to hone or re-hone skills needed to build a locally based food system at neighborhood and small community levels. The BOOT CAMP will give you skills to build relationships that win the cooperation of others in common service to the community.

Bring two or more people with you, and go home with the first steps of a food initiative in your neighborhood.
