Eugene Cob Celebration Volunteers Needed (Sept 8-9)

Hello Eugene Area Natural Builders & Supporters!

The Eugene Celebration has asked the Natural Building Network to demonstrate cob construction at the big event this coming weekend, Sept 7-9. We will be mixing cob in the Sustainability Village, giving the public an opportunity to try cob - many of them for the first time. Our project will be temporary and simple...an earthen wall with curves, arches, niches and ???? in the middle of the street, beginning on Saturday morning at 10am.

We need volunteers to help demonstrate and play in the mud! Any time you have to share is welcome. If you don't have experience with cob, we'll give you a quick intro and you'll become an instant teacher! Please come for an hour or an afternoon. If you can give a 5 hour shift of volunteer time, we'll give you one of our 6 free WEEKEND passes to the event. Yes, the whole weekend for FREE! Come for the cob, stay for the music, food, culture, local products and community merriment.

Hours are Saturday, Sept 8 from 9am-6pm and Sunday, Sept 9 from 10am-6pm.

Please contact Jack Stephens of NBN for details and to confirm your offer to help! Phone toll free 888-201-8489 or email organicjack@gmail.com.
