Third MeetingSubmitted Wed, 2008-06-11 21:58 — aangel Hi, everyone. Please pass this along to residents of Marin you think may be interested. The oil situation is moving quickly and the shortages are going to begin soon. They are already happening all over the world. Planning Post Carbon Marin Meeting Who: Post Carbon Marin Please email me aangel (at) inspiringgreenleadership dot com to let me know you're coming! That way we know how many chairs to set up. Why was Post Carbon Marin formed? Worldwide oil production is very close to beginning its inexorable decline. Come to the meeting to find out when we think that will happen, the impact of it and participate in preparing your home, your business and Marin County for a world of expensive and hard-to-get oil. If you have never heard of peak oil, you can read up on it here: Where is Post Carbon Marin on the Net? You'll find us at http://postcarbonmarin.relocalize.net This meeting is being organized by Andre' Angelantoni, Jonathan Frieman and John Duvall. What Has Been Accomplished so Far We've given a number of presentations all over the county and will be presenting to the Board of Supervisors earlier that day (Tuesday) and we'll give an update on how that went at our meeting. For an overview of what's happening with oil, see the Peak Oil Primer: What Will We Cover This Time Event title: Start: End: Key 1
