Granville Relocalization and Sustainability Council

Group manager: Ryan Hottle

We are a forming group in the Granville, Ohio area dedicated to creating a more bright and sustainable future. We are interested in creating a determined effort in the Granville area to prepare for the challenges of Global Climate Change and Peak Oil. We promote relocalization, renewable energy, conservation, environmental education, wildlife protection, permaculture, local economies, bioregionalism, and sustainability as alternatives to the current industrial lifestyle that is killing the planet and putting human life in jeopardy.

We hope to start having bi-weekly meetings where we will have potlucks and enjoy each other's company; screen "The End of Suburbia" and other pertinent films; have mini-workshops ( e.g. seed saving, food preservation, home energy efficiency, etc.); dialog about what we can do and what need to be done; and, listen to speakers. More information on this to come!

We need you! Without intelligent, creative, and visionary people, we can't do much... But if we can come together and working together, there is much we can do to prepare for the coming times, and to do our part here in and around Granville to solve the most compelling challenges we have ever faced!

If you would like to join our group or find out more information about us please email the administrator, Ryan Hottle. Ryan is the co-founder of Ohio Peak Oil Action(also a Relocalize.net group) working on promoting a relocalization campaign for the greater Ohio area. He can be reached at (740) 587 2525.
