This group has begun in February 2007 and has attracted a number of interested people and groups. The Ponoka group and Red Deer group have met with us and we have decided to offer screenings of relevant documentaries, and making presentations around the message presented in The End Of Suburbia. I believe there is huge opportunity to bring awareness to the Post Carbon issue in an area of the world that is “riding high” on a finite resource since small towns see value in protecting their culture, community, and business. Gaining public support through local initiative I believe will lead to a larger gathering or conference involving farmers, the oil industry, and developers.
