Peak oil will bring dramatic changes to our little corner of the world here in north
central Vermont. Right now our economy centers on tourism. Rising fuel costs and
economic downsizing will bring an end to the tourist economy. We must be prepared
to change our way of life to a local self-sufficient economy based on farming, small
manufacturing, hand crafts and local trade.
