Welcome! Thanks for the posting. Our community currently is based on the gift economy. So, we have not talked about a local currency. I believe in the future the greater community may use another currency besides the USD. I am thinking honey would be a good currency. It is easy to transport, very useful, has calories, does not need to be refrigerated, and will not bad over time.
