End of Suburbia

Be sure to come to the showing of "End of Suburbia" at the Gold Romm in the Memorial Union, Wed Feb 15 at 7:00 pm.

Does anyone have other ideas for movies we could show either on campus or at the public library?

Have you tried 'Peak Oil, imposed by Nature'. I found it better than EOS but the response varies with individuals. Ignore the first few minutes and then hear some great input from Colin Campbell and Matt Simmons among others.

Also for $10 from UCSB: 'The Power of the Sun', [ http://powerofthesun.ucsb.edu ]. Educational and informative - pro bono narration by John Cleese and content from Nobel Laureates Walter Kohn and Alan Heeger.
I have seen a working cut of OilCrash, [ http://www.oilcrashmovie.com/film.html ] and would recommend it when/if it comes out. Nice sound bites, 'Oil is the excrement of the Devil' and of course, 'Syriana for dummies.'
