Our mission is to facilitate the development and execution of plans to help relocalise the towns and communities of the Blackall Range and surrounds, with a special focus on Maleny.

This includes:


  • Educating members of the community about the issues of peak oil, climate change, and relocalisation.

  • Providing opportunities for the community to network, collaborate, and develop constructive projects towards a shared vision.

  • Promoting the importance of peak oil to policy makers, emphasising local solutions.

  • Developing an Energy Descent Action Plan for the region

  • Implementing strategies outlined in the EDAP
