I just moved to Sacramento and joined the Sacramento Post Carbon Action Network (SPAN) on relocalize.net. I have been making a request to all current and former SPAN members to inquire about a place to park near downtown Sac. Peak moment TV (http://peakmoment.tv) is coming to Sacramento to cover the ASPO conference on Sept 21st. Janaia and Robin have a request reposted below. Please contact me or them if you have any leads that could meet their very minimal requirements :).

Hello Sacramento friends,
Robyn and I will be attending/taping the ASPO-USA conference held at the Hyatt Regency Sept 21-23. (ASPO = Association for the Study of Peak Oil). We are looking for a safe place to park and sleep overnights in our VW Vanagon, Sunday through Tuesday nights. We don't need anything from you--we'll have water, toilet, etc. Just looking for a safe and legal (quiet would be nice, too) place to park -- a driveway, in front of your house, in your apartment parking space, a business parking space, etc. Any ideas?
We also welcome suggestions for restaurants that aren't terribly pricey nor too far away. Amarin Thai is a definite plus. Indian or Chinese cuisine welcome, too.
