Portland Peak Oil Task Force Member Unveils New Community Relocalization Computer Application at Next Eugene SusCom Meeting
As a member of the one first municipal work group's assigned with studying and preparing for the effects of peaking and decline of the world's oil supply, Portland Peak Oil Task Force Member Randy White then became part of one of first comprehensive studies released on peak and suggested mitigation strategies, March 2007. From that and ongoing work, Randy will unveil his company's new Bright Neighbor computer application(introduction attached) for municipalities at the upcoming April 16th meeting of the Eugene Sustainability Commission. Randy is due to present at 7:20PM on the commission's agenda. The commission meeting, at the Eugene Public Library's Bascom-Tykeson Room, is open to all. Meeting agenda is posted elsewhere in Post Carbon Eugene outpost news. The Bright Neighbor application first came under development in 2007.
