Greenport members have been invited to join Co-op Power for the launching of their Member-to-Member Solar Hot Water Installation program from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday, April 5th in Buckland, MA. Modeled after community barn raisings, Member-to-Member Installations offer Greenport members an innovative way to help one another install high quality renewable energy systems, save $1,500 to $3,000 on installation costs (approximately 40% of the cost of a system installation), and build local capacity both socially and technically.
If you'd like more information, you can read about the program on the Co-op Power web site:

Considering the significant distance to the site (Buckland is approximately a two hour drive from Cambridge), the hope is that we can car-pool and fill all available seats.
Please contact Greenport member Rob Riman at robriman@gmail.com or 617.576.2628 if interested in attending. Co-op power has agreed to accommodate up to ten people from Greenport and spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
