Militant groups continue to proliferate throughout the United States as the Internet empowers them to spread their messages of hate and violence. The fear of a takeover in the south by large groups of activist immigrants fuels recruiting efforts by many of these organizatons.

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) documents the growth and extension of these hate groups across the US which began a resurgence in the late 1980's. There has been a 40% jump in the number of these groups since the year 2000. The SPLC offers expert help in fighting the spread of their hate message.
